This gorgeous circa 1900 antique PORCELAIN SERVING PLATE was made by Sèvres China of East Liverpool, Ohio. The company closed its doors in 1908 due to fire.
The bright white plate features a strawberry pattern of large red strawberries and green leaves. The plate is bordered with a fancy embossed motif and a gold trimmed scalloped edge. A second band of gold outlines the embossing. The Sèvres fleur-de-lis hallmark is stamped on the back of the plate. The serving plate measures 10 ⅜” and is in great vintage condition. Very minor gold loss without crazing, chips or cracks.
The piece would make a wonderful cabinet or wall plate or treat yourself and use as a small serving platter for desserts, fruits or appetizers!
