Vintage chrome era souvenir postcard featuring Millville Locks on the Whitewater Canal at Metamora, Indiana. The locks were built in 1832 to 1843 from stone quarried from a nearby hill. The original stone laid up without mortar and masonry rests on timber foundation of white oak and black walnut. Named after the early mills that stood on the same ground. Restored by the State of Indiana in 1952 to 1953.
