Offering a MacBeth-Evans PETALWARE MONAX SALVER PLATE used for serving food or beverages. May also be a large dinner plate.
The SALVER PLATE is made of translucent white glass. The pie crust designed lip and scalloped rim reflect light blue. The plate measures about 10 ½” in diameter and is wonderful vintage condition. The base is plain with no markings.
About MacBeth-Evans Petalware Monax: Founded in 1899, Macbeth-Evans initially focused on the production of glass for illumination, science, and industry. In the late 1920’s, they introduced their first dinnerware lines and in 1933, began using Monax, a translucent white glass they created for light fixtures for some dinnerware lines, including Petalware. When Corning Glass Works of New York purchased the company in 1937, they discontinued all dinnerware lines except Petalware.
