With a melody adapted from Frédéric Chopin's Fantaisie-Impromptu and lyrics by Joseph McCarthy, I'M ALWAYS CHASING RAINBOWS became a beloved Vaudeville song. The music, credited to Harry Carroll, remains a favorite among audiences.

The Dolly Sisters, Hungarian-American identical twin dancers, singers, and actresses introduced the song in the Broadway show Oh, Look! which opened in March 1918. In 1945, American Technicolor released a biographical film about the Dolly Sisters featuring Betty Grable as Jenny and June Haver as Rosie. While the song was originally copyrighted in 1918, this version of sheet music published by Miller Music by Arrangement with Robbins Music was released in conjunction with the film.

The cover art showcases Grable and Haver in Vaudeville-style hourglass feathered dresses and tall headdresses against an orange background, making it a stunning decor piece if framed. Packaged in a protective sleeve, it is good condition but does have some small tears on the cover edges.
