This original sheet music for Irving Berlin's I'LL SEE YOU IN C-U-B-A was published by Irving Berlin Music Publishers in 1920. An early copy, it features both piano and vocal accompaniments.

Berlin, born Israel Berlin (1888 - 1989), was an iconic American composer and arranger who wrote over 1,500 songs and musical scores. His music and lyrics for I'LL SEE YOU IN C-U-B-A demonstrate America's fascination with Cuban music and culture at the height of Prohibition, The first verse of this song starts with, "Not so far from here, there's a very lively atmosphere. Everybody's going there this year, and there's a reason. The season opened last July, ever since the U.S.A. went dry."

This vintage copy is in good-fair condition, with detached pages and frayed edges; however, the vibrant cover illustration of a stunning woman wearing a Cuban ensemble, flanked by two parrots--one red and one green--sitting on a branch, printed in red, brown, green and white, would make an excellent framed display.

The inside and back advertisements contain musical incipits of other Irving Berlin compositions. Ideal for collectors, it is packaged with a protective sleeve for preservation.
