Beautiful TRANSFERWARE DECORATED FISH PLATE imported by the Hinrichs & Company of New York, as part of its Carlsbad Austria goods line.
The antique plate measures about 8 ¼” in diameter decorated with a large image of a fish. The side of the fish is hand painted with raised white dots, resembling scales, creating a charming texture. Water plants and leaves decorate the top lip.
The base is stamped with H & C Carlsbad Austria inside a circle.
The plate has two hairline cracks on the lip near the bottom so please review the photos carefully. Much of the gold gilt on the rim is worn.
