Vintage photo postcard, "A Malting Floor in the World's Largest Brewery," the GUINNESS brewery located in Dublin, Ireland. On the malting floor, barley is steeped in water and when saturated, is spread out upon the malting floor where the grain is encouraged to germinate. It is then dried off in a kiln, the resulting grain being known as malt. The pictorial postcard is #GA7 in the series.
