Introduced in 1961, Royal Worcester's Evesham china marked a trend shift towards informal dining by bringing the casserole dish to the table. Quickly becoming their best-selling pattern into the late 20th century, Evesham was named for the region of fruit-growing near Worcester.
This COFFEE CANISTER WITH WOOD LID from the Evesham Gold series has a white porcelain body standing 5” in height, with the lid, and 4 ½” without. Its 4 ½” diameter is accented with peaches, grapes, and plums.
On the canister bottom, the Royal Worcester mark for flameproof porcelain is stamped, alongside "Oven-to-Table-Ware" and "Dishwasher Proof". The lid of the wood top has its original label, indicating that the piece is likely never-before-used.
In exceptional condition, the only requirement is a coat of cutting board oil for the dry wood top. The rubber gasket seal is dry.
