About Arcoral Dishware: Verrerie Cristallerie d'Arques started out as a small family crystal and glassmaking shop in Arques, Frances in 1825. The business owned by the Durand family has grown to become a world leader in tableware manufacturing.
The company released its shock-resistant tempered glass opaque dinnerware line in 1958 and sold it under the trademarked name, Arcopal™. The dinnerware was known for its distinctive milky white opaque look and for its durability and strength. With its nonporous heat-resistance, Acropal dishware is dishwasher and microwave-safe.
The company ceased making Arcopal in 2000, but in 2016, began manufacturing Arcopal once again under the name, Arc International. It continues to use the marketing slogan, "La guarantee de l'éléphant...dupuis 1958" -- or in English, The Elephant Guarantee...since 1958.
