Originally priced at 40 cents in 1942, this Deluxe Edition by M.M. Cole Publishing Company of Johann Straus' BLUE DANUBE WALTZ vintage sheet music comes with the A. Thompson lyrics.
Johann Straus composed "An der schönen blauen Donau", which is commonly known as the BLUE DANUBE, in 1867. This waltz is one of the most renowned pieces of the classical music repertoire, though the composer himself was dissatisfied with the ending. He famously declared, “The devil take the waltz, my only regret is for the code, I wish that had been a success!"
A colorful blend of roses and flowers adorn the emerald-hued cover sheet. The back cover is blank. The sheet music is in pristine condition, featuring an intact cover and music insert, completely free from tears and wear, and housed in a protective sleeve.
