Real photo postcard, "Bad Dürkheim Rheinpfalz Sanatorium Sonnenwende" featuring the Sonnenwende Sanatorium located in the spa community of Bad Dürkheim, Germany. The sanatorium most likely provided long-term treatment for patients suffering from tuberculous and closed in 1972.
This is an early photo of the sanatorium and could date back to the 1920s. The initials E.H.M printed in the divided back line may suggest that the postcard was published by Emil Hartmann of Mannheim. The postage box imprinted with 123395 M/1320.
