This elegant Bacchus Red rimmed soup bowl by Wedgwood is a beautiful example of the firm’s classic Queens Ware. Now a discontinued pattern, Bacchus Red is especially prized by collectors, and rimmed soup bowls are among the harder-to-find forms.
The white Queens Ware body is decorated with rich red grapes and green leaves encircling the rim, finished with a softly scalloped shell-edge border that adds depth and refinement. Measuring approximately 8¼ inches rim to rim and just over 1¼ inches deep, the bowl is ideal for soups, stews, or composed dishes.
The base is stamped “WEDGWOOD ETRURIA & BARLASTON – Made in England.” The absence of the registered ® trademark symbol above the Wedgwood name dates this piece to circa 1940–1974. Additional markings include a hand-painted number (AMH9773 7) and an embossed mold number, consistent with authentic Wedgwood production.
Note: The rimmed soup bowls are sold individually.
