An adorable limited edition STEIFF TEDDY CLOWN BEAR from 1986. The collectible bear, made in West Germany is a replica of the 1926 original Teddy Clown bear. The bear is individually numbered 5256 of the 10,000 produced.
Wearing a red trimmed removable neck ruffle and a molded felt hat with two red chenille pom-poms, the sweet bear has genuine mohair pile fur in creamy yellow tipped with light brown. He has brown glass eyes, an embroidered nose and mouth and felt paws.
The front side of his ear button tag is labeled Steiff Knopf IM OHR 0170/32 and Made in W. Germany LTD. ED. 1986 05256 on the reverse. The paper tag is intact but no longer attached. The front of the paper tag is marked Teddy Clown Replica 1926 and the reverse marked, All new material; PA55/MA5573/Made in W. Germany; Covering: 60% wool 40% cotton.
Teddy Clown Bear is fully jointed--arms, legs and neck all move and measures 13" tall.
