SILVERPLATE FLAT BUTTER KNIFE in Rogers Cutlery Art Nouveau Rose Pattern
Out of stock
A lovely antique ROSE SILVER PLATE FLAT TWISTED BUTTER KNIFE by Rogers Cutlery. The silver company was founded in 1872 and was one of the original silver companies to form the International Silver Company. The flat twisted handle butter knife is not common and was made to stand upright on the butter plate. Very inventive!
Like many pieces of Art Nouveau style Victorian era silver, the design is intricate and flowing with detailed blooming roses and flowers filling both the front and back of the handle.
The knife or spreader is in excellent condition and measures about 7" long. The piece is not monogrammed and the back is stamped R. C. Co. blade.
