SILVERPLATE DINNER FORKS in Mappin & Webb Georgian Pattern Circa 1930s (Set of 4)
Out of stock
Set of four (4) antique GEORGIAN SILVERPLATE DINNER FORKS by Mappin & Webb. The rare pattern was introduced by the company in 1930s.
Mappin & Webb was a well-known silver manufacturer in England founded in 1810 by Joseph Mappin of Sheffield. In 1863, after passing through several generations, the firm changed its name to Mappin & Webb.
The forks are much longer and heavier than most dinner forks, measuring 8 ⅜” inches long and weighing 2.4 ounces each. The back of each fork is marked MAPPIN & WEBB MAPPIN PLATE. There is also the Mappin & Webb mark. The forks are not monogrammed. They are in wonderful vintage condition showing normal signs of wear and will be gorgeous once polished.
Vintage silver looks beautiful displayed in a dining room or kitchen and this pattern would be stunning displayed in an antique glass jar filled with a mix of silver pieces.
