This vintage LUCKY STRIKE Flat Fifties Cigarette Tin, circa 1920 to 1935, features the iconic red and black logo with the slogan "It's Toasted," which was introduced in 1917 to promote the use of toasting rather than sun drying tobacco.
The slim green tin showcases a profile of an American Indian Chief in full headdress on both the inside of the lid the back. According to the manufacturer, the American Tobacco Group, the Indian Chief was chosen as the brand mascot to symbolize peace, as tobacco and the peace pipe were widely used by Native Americans in the past.
Measuring 5 ⅝ inches by 4 ⅜ inches, this tin is in good vintage condition with minimal loss of paint and would make a valuable addition to any tobacciana collection.
