This a lovely vintage LUCITE BOX PURSE from the 1950s. The Lucite is 1/8" thick and attaches to the purse with chrome strips. The handle and latch are also chrome. The lid latches securely in place.
As you can see from the pictures, the purse is in excellent vintage condition and shows very little wear. The Lucite is very clear and there is no rust. There is a small mar about 3/8" long on the lid (see photo) and a hairline crack inside the top about 1/4" long where the handle is attached by the screw. The crack is barely noticeable from the top. I could not find anything else.
In some of the photos, the chrome looks reddish on the edges but that is not how the chrome looks in person. It's very clean and bright.
