Beautiful piece of blown art glass from KANAWHA HAND CRAFTED GLASSWARE.
In the shape of a pear and designed with a controlled bubble design amber glass under clear glass with a clear glass stem and leaf, the paperweight is circa 1953 to 1987. The original sticker, Kanawha Hand Crafted Glassware, Dunbar W. VA is attached. It measures 4 ¼” high and is in excellent condition.
Kanawha competed with Blenko, Rainbow, Pilgrim, Viking and other popular mid-20th century glass makers producing colorful stylized retro mod forms. Kanawha was purchased by another glass company in 1987 and closed its doors forever in 1989
