The listing is for a beautiful example of Early American Pattern Glass made by Indiana Glass. The CHILD'S ROUND BUTTER DISH & DOMED LID in the Oval Star pattern, number 300, was released in 1910.
The pattern is designed with a collection of hobstars, ladders and notches motifs--and according to the Early American Pattern Glass Society, all pieces in this pattern were designed for children, with the CHILD'S ROUND BUTTER DISH & DOMED LID sold as part of a child's tea set.
The set is about 5 ¼” in diameter and 4" tall and is wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
While originally sold as a toy, could be used for a large "ice-cream scoop" sized scoop of butter. Great addition to anyone's antique glass or toy collection.
