This listing includes a set of two (2) official election record scrapbooks containing blank ballot samples from cities and villages throughout Hamilton County, Ohio, with a small number of examples from nearby jurisdictions, including Clermont County. The volumes document local election formats used between 1947 and 1951, preserving precinct-level ballot designs for municipal, judicial, and school elections.
The scrapbooks were compiled by Joseph H. Hudepohl, a former Deputy Clerk of the Hamilton County Board of Elections. Hudepohl stamped or hand-wrote his name on the covers and/or within the volumes, providing direct provenance and confirming their administrative origin.
Collected today for their historical and research value, these ballot record scrapbooks appeal to collectors of political history, Ohio and Cincinnati history, election ephemera, and archival civic documentation.
Good to very good vintage condition for institutional working volumes. Expected age-related wear including paper discoloration, staining, edge wear, and occasional dog-eared corners. Contents intact and legible throughout. Wear is consistent with archival use rather than neglect.

📂 Archival Context
These volumes are institutional election records compiled for administrative reference by the Hamilton County Board of Elections.
Assembled for institutional reference rather than public distribution, these volumes function as official election record books, comparable to ledgers or poll books maintained for verification and compliance. They were working tools used to document ballot layouts and precinct variations, not personal scrapbooks.
Today, such records are valued for their ability to document how democratic processes were administered at the local level, preserving details of ballot design, election structure, and civic organization during the mid-20th century.
