Featuring an antique ENAMELWARE CANDLE HOLDER, circa late 19th to early 20th century.  The CANDLE HOLDER is enameled in a gorgeous robin egg blue with black trim and has the finger loop of a chamberstick.

The candle holder measures approximately 6 ¼” across by 2" tall. Including the finger loop, it measures about 7 ¼” across. The insert for the candle was designed for a taper candle and is slightly less than 1" wide. The piece is in wonderful vintage condition for antique enamelware with minimal rust or chips. Please review the photos carefully as they have been taken from several angles.

Imagine this wonderful piece as an addition to someone's French country or farmhouse style decorating!

Enamel & Granite Ware
Enamelware is made from an old process of coating metal with porcelain, which became popular in the 1800s. By the late 1870s, a new form of enamel ware was developed, called "granite ware."

Graniteware was designed with decorative patterns resembling granite, ranging from mottled, speckled, spatters or swirls. Early granite ware included patterns in turquoise blue with white and green. Both enamel and granite ware were used in the production of early kitchen utility ware.
