Black and white real photo postcard featuring an early "Gas Powered Carriage or Horseless Carriage".  The automobile in the photograph was steered with a tiller, so most likely it was built before 1900, as it was not until 1894, that manufacturers began fitting models with a steering wheel.

The postcard does not include a handwritten caption. Based on the stamp box, the manufacturer of the photographic paper used by the postcard publisher was CYKO and printed between 1904 and 1920.

The right bottom corner is embossed with the stamp of the photographer,  G. R. Hussung of Aurora, Indiana.
