The CAPE COD 1876 COLLECTION Sandwich Glass large WATER GOBLET from Avon boasts superb craftsmanship, showcased in its intricate designs, background stippling, and brilliant luster. The goblet weighs a hefty 15 ounces and stands 6” tall with a bowl measuring 3 ⅜” rim to rim. It is stamped with AVON on the bottom and is in excellent condition, without any chips, cracks, or repairs.

Sandwich Glass and the Avon 1876 Cape Cod Collection: The 1876 Cape Cod Collection pays tribute to the Boston & Sandwich Glass Works, founded in 1825 on Cape Cod, whose sandwich glass designs are well-known and highly prized. The collection was inspired by the classic Roman Rosette pattern and its name commemorates the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial and the region of origin for Sandwich glass. Avon produced the glassware through Wheaton Glass from 1975 to 1993.
