Classic Mid-Century Ruby Glass with Sculptural Rings and Brilliant Glow
Nothing catches the light quite like Royal Ruby glass. These mid-century Anchor Hocking vases glow with a rich, saturated red that feels equally festive and timeless, instantly warming a shelf, mantel, or holiday table.
Designed with a graceful flared rim and distinctive triple-ring collar at the neck, the form balances clean modern lines with a touch of Art Deco influence. The rounded base gives each vase a pleasing weight and presence, while the transparent ruby glass beautifully showcases fresh blooms, greenery, or candlelight. Even empty, they make a striking decorative pair.
“Royal Ruby” was Anchor Hocking’s patented name for their deep red transparent glass, introduced in 1938 and beloved throughout the mid-20th century. Pieces from the line have become enduring favorites among collectors for both everyday display and seasonal decorating.
The vases are in excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips, or bubbles and measure just under 6 ½″ high with a 3 ¼″ diameter opening. They are unmarked, as many Anchor Hocking pieces originally carried paper labels that have since been lost.
✨ Collector’s Note: Matching pairs are increasingly harder to find — and Royal Ruby is especially beautiful displayed as a duo on a mantel, dining table, or flanking a centerpiece.
