A charming piece of Southwest Ohio dairy history, this vintage Eshbaugh's Dairy glass container features bold red script advertising and a distinctive ribbon design. The cylindrical jar preserves the look of a time when milk, cream, and other dairy products were delivered and sold in reusable glass containers.

Eshbaugh's Dairy was a family-operated dairy business in Miamisburg, Ohio. Earlier advertising identified the business under their father’s name, H. A. Eshbaugh Ideal Dairy. When sons Melvin and Harold Eshbaugh took over the family business in 1940, the name was shortened to Eshbaugh's Dairy, which they operated through 1948.

The red printing is best described as applied-color letter (ACL) technique, often called pyroglaze, rather than ordinary screen print. Embossed on the heel is L-52, which links the jar's manufacturer to Lamb Glass Company of Mount Vernon, Ohio.
