Set of three Mid-Century PAINT-BY-NUMBER LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS on art board.  The set is ready to be framed.

This set features three country landscape scenes painted using several different tones of beautiful greens and browns. Scenes include:

  • Country barn with horse in corral and large haystack
  • Farm windmill, old barn, and a chicken shed or chicken house with chickens in the foreground
  • Old Cross-topped country church with large tree

Each painting measures 16” wide by 12” high.

The three paintings are in good condition and do not appear to have ever been framed. A few of the corners have begun to curl and there are a few small areas on the edges areas where the artist did not paint to the very edge--but these areas should be completely covered once the paintings are framed.

The paintings are clean; however, there is a paint smudge or two from the painting process.  A tree and bushes in the painting of the church are not completely finished, which is interesting as you can still view the numbered areas.

A lovely set for any vintage-inspired or shabby chic-inspired room.

History of Paint-by-Number:  Paint-by-number became a popular pastime in the early 1950s. The making of the fad is attributed to Max S. Klein, owner of the Palmer Paint Company of Detroit, Michigan, and to artist Dan Robbins, who conceived the idea and created many of the initial paintings. By 1954, Palmer had sold some twelve million kits.
