Dovetailed wood cigar box with hinged top with nineteen (19) glass tubes. Each glass tube is capped with a yellow cap featuring the company brand. Inside the lid is a colorful label depicting a stunning woman in a red dress playing a harp.
The EL PRODUCTO QUEENS cigar box measures 7" high was made in a 4 ½” shape to allow the cigar to be stored vertically. The printed lettering on the top and bottom of the cigar box are very clear, however the front of the box lettering is light. The green government issued revenue stamp is in good condition.
The El Producto story begins in 1905, when tobacco leaf dealers, Sam and Ben Grabosky bought the right to the entire label for a mere $11. Decades later, they were made popular by rock-and-roll legend, Elvis Presley but more so by comedian George Burns, who would only smoke EL PRODUCTO QUEENS packaged in the glass tubes.
