Hard to find historical book, MAINEVILLE OHIO HISTORY 100 Years as Incorporated Town 1850 - 1950, authored by Robert Brenner.  The book is now out of print.

The book's forward states the book was compiled in commemoration of the one-hundredth anniversary of Maineville and provides acknowledgement to many sources, including but not limited to:

  • Memoirs of the Miami Valley, Robert O. Law
  • Josiah Morrow's History of Warren County
  • Records of The Maineville Freewill Baptist, Church, The Maineville Methodist Church
  • Historical Atlases of Warren County
  • Diaries and scrapbooks of early settlers
  • Account books of early store owners.

Published in June 1950 by John S. Swift. Company Cincinnati, Ohio MAINEVILLE OHIO HISTORY includes over 100 illustrations and photographs of early settlers, buildings, businesses, local musicians, school class photos, and more.  There are also more than 30 historical accounts on topics like: Johnny Appleseed, the Underground Railroad, and taxes.

The book measures approximately 8 ½” high by 5 ½” wide high and is paperback and is good vintage condition.  There is an area on the binding that is torn as well as foxing and yellowing due to age.
