JOYS OF JELL-O… is softcover vintage recipe booklet produced by General Foods Corporation.  This example is the 1st printing of the 3rd edition released in 1961 or 1962.

The 98-page softcover booklet measures 8 ¼” by 5 ½” and is filled with recipes highlighted by color and black and white photography.  The booklet has the "tips and tricks" of Jell-O and answers questions like, how to unfold, whip, flake and cube Jell-O.

Nearly 80 pages of recipes include Rainbow Cake, Hawaiian Dessert, Waldorf Salad, Charlotte Russe, Ambrosia Parfaits, Old-Fashioned Cole Slaw, Chicken Salad Surprise and Cranberry Ice.  Who knew you could make Marzipan with Jell-O...and yes, the recipe is in this booklet!

The stapled cover of the book does appear to have been reinforced at some point--but other than that, its in good shape with no tears. Like most of recipe booklets from this period, there is some browning and staining to some pages, especially on the edges.  Please review photos.

Thank you for visiting THE TOWNHOUSE ANTIQUES & VINTAGE

We strive to provide you the best in antique, collectibles and vintage items and do our best to provide you within the written description as much information, whether it’s the history, manufacturer or condition, for each item we sell.

However, we also recognize that a “picture is worth a thousand words” and ask that you view the photos we provide as well. Often, a photo can be more effective than a written description when determining if an item will meet your needs and satisfaction.
