FLORENTINE by Crown Ducal Bread Plate Pattern #1954 Set of Six
Crown Ducal, a name used by the A.G. Richardson and Company of Tunstall and Cobridge, England originated in 1916, and was used for some of the company's porcelain.
This is a set of six (6) fine porcelain BREAD PLATES by Crown Ducal in the Florentine #1954 pattern. Each plate is 6 ⅛" in diameter and decorated with beautiful sprays of blue flowers, purple grapes, yellow pears and green leaves. The edge of the rim is painted in gold gilt.
The bottom of the plate is stamped with the Crown Ducal Florentine Made in England mark.
Four of the plates include the hand painted pattern number, 1954 along with the maker's stamp. The set is in good condition with some light crazing and one plate has. flea bite on the edge of the rim, both common for porcelain of this age.
