This vintage lithograph print, Eglise de Strins is near excellent condition and ready to frame.
A Donald Arts Company print (© D.A.C. N.Y) circa late 1950s, the lithograph is printed on canvas and measures 10” by 12”.
The artist, Maurice Utrillo (1883 – 1955), was a French painter who specialized in cityscapes. He was born Maurice Valadon in Montmartre quarter of Paris, and one of the few famous painters of Montmartre who were born there.
The name of the painting, Eglise de Strins translates to “church on the Seine.” Church on the Seine is the American Cathedral in Paris, formally known as the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity and is one of the oldest English-speaking churches in Paris.
