BEEHLER ARTS COMPOSITION DOLL Marked MBC Circa 1940s to 1950s
This all original BEEHLER ARTS DOLL was produced by the Beehler Arts Doll Company. The doll company was located in New York City and sold dolls during the 1940s and 1950s.
The doll is about 7 ¼" tall and has fully jointed arms and hips. She has soft blond hair and is wearing a long navy cotton flower print dress, a purple and white flowered apron tied around her waist. and a scarf on her head. She is marked MBC. She may have been sold as a souvenir doll or International collection doll -- possibly Dutch or German.
The doll is in good vintage condition with little crazing. Her painted face is beautiful and the paint is in good condition. The doll's mohair wig may need to be glued. There is a little glue showing on the back of her head. The red shoes are cracked but cannot be noticed under her dress.
