TOLE PAINTED PENNSYLVANIA GOOSENECK COFFEE POT Early American Reproduction Dayton Ohio Artist

Regular price $92.00 $0.00

Featuring a beautiful reproduction of traditional American decorative tinware.

The TOLE PAINTED COFFEE POT was painted and finished by hand using materials and tools typical of early American tinsmiths in Colonial times. The tole painting covers both sides of the pot.

The artist for this piece was Marvin W. Bishop of Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Bishop has signed and dated the piece. The original tag is included and references the coffee pot as a Pennsylvania gooseneck coffee pot.  The design is very similar to the toleware coffee pot painted and designed by James H. Robbins of Philadelphia in the late 1800s. The Robbins coffee pot served as the artistic model for the United States Postal Service five-cent stamp in 2002. An image of the postage stamp is included with the photos.

The deep red, mustard yellow, forest green and robin egg blue coffee pot stands a little over 10" high. It is in excellent condition. Please review pictures carefully as they have been taken from several angles.

The coffee pot would make a great addition to someone's French country or farmhouse style decorating.
