Antique Early American BOOT SCRAPER with double scroll design--a wonderful piece of primitive folk art and architecture.

Based on its simple scroll design and that is it forged and hand-wrought, the BOOT SCRAPER is most likely early, as around the mid 1800s, boot scrapers were often more ornate and made using cast iron. Measures about 9 ½" tall and wide.  It is attached to a 7 ½" wide, 9" long by 1 ¾” high wood base.  Overall height of the scraper including the wood base is 11 ¼”.

This piece would make a wonderful addition to someone's folk art, antique architectural or primitive collection!
