There is a small amount of the transfer missing from the band surround the artwork, but other than that, no crazing, chips, scratches or cracks. Above the medal is the G.A.R. motto in script, \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003e\"We have drank from the same canteen.\"\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe decanter is meant to be hung and is about 8” in diameter without the neck.  Including the neck it is 9 ½” high and 10 ½” high with the metal stopper. The sling guides are painted gold and the stopper is original to the piece.
