This in an early TIN-LITHOGRAPH RATCHET-STYLE NOISEMAKER from the late 1920s to 1930s by Kirchhof Products.  The lithograph depicts a man dressed in a red and white harlequin print jester costume and a dark haired woman dressed in red with a 1920s style curly bob.  The background of the rectangular shaped noisemaker is bright yellow. The ratchet handle is made of wood and painted red.

The edge of the noisemaker is marked on all four sides:

  • Left side: KIRCHHOF "Life of the Party" PRODUCTS
  • Right side: PATENTED NOV. 27, 1928 - N.O.1,693,140.
  • Top and Bottom Ends: KIRCHHOF NEWARK, N.J. U.S.A

The noisemaker measures is 4 ½" in length by 7/8" high. Width including the ratchet is 3".  The noisemaker is in very good condition and shows minimal use.  Nice addition to someone's vintage toy collection as well as a great noisemaker for a vintage New Year's Eve or birthday party!
