Compliments of Linger Inn LEBANON INDIANA Interior View Vintage Real Photo Postcard Circa 1927 - 1940 *RARE
Black and white real photo postcard, "Compliments of Linger Inn Lebanon Indiana" featuring an Art Deco cocktail lounge and back bar. Interesting advertising artifacts decorate the walls of the lounge, although difficult to distinguish without a magnifier, including:
-
Drewrys Ale sign above the cigarette machine;
- A Welcome Gift Chesterfield cigarettes sign;
- Here's Refreshment Coca Cola sign
- 7 Up Diner Menu Board with slots for changing items and prices
According to a Lebanon Reporter article published on November 11, 1924, the Linger Inn opened that same year. The business closed around 1940 and the building was torn down six years later.
The AZO stamp box with 4 squares dates the postcard to 1927 to 1940.
