Vintage souvenir Oilette postcard published by Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd., "The Band of the Life Guards in State Dress".  Carfax in the lower-right corner, thought to refer to the Carfax Gallery, established in 1898 to promote and sell works by some of the lesser-known artists of the time.

The back of the postcard reads: Band of the Life Guards in State Dress, preceded by the Drum Horse bearing the famous Silver Drums presented to the Regiment by King William IV, who was then Colonel-in-Chief of the Regiment, at the Home Park, Windsor, 1831.
