Nice piece of Republican Party memorabilia.
The OHIO REPUBLICAN PARTY COMMEMORATIVE ASHTRAY is made of stoneware pottery and glazed in cranberry red. The MASCOT OF THE PARTY, an elephant, is embossed in the center of bowl and wears a blanket with the words, OHIO and holds a VICTORY banner in his trunk. A decorative trim featuring elephants encircles the rim of the ashtray.
The ashtray is 1 ¾” height and the center of the bowl measures 5 ¼” in diameter, and with the rim, 7” at its widest point. The ashtray is in great condition with no chips, crazing or cracks. There are a few places on the rim from the glazing process where the glaze is light.
Great commemorative political piece.
