This TIN-LITHOGRAPH RATCHET-STYLE BOZO THE CLOWN NOISEMAKER from the 1950s is in the shape of an oval dish.  The lithograph on the front of the noisemaker depicts clowns resembling "Bozo the Clown".  The colors of the lithograph are festive and bright; the background is filled with noisemakers, streamers, balloons and confetti.  The ratchet handle is made of yellow plastic.

The noisemaker appears to be a style made by the U.S. Metal Toy Manufacturing Company of Brooklyn, New York but the lithograph is not marked.  The noisemaker measures about 4 ¾” long and 2 ½" wide at its largest width.  Depth is a little over ½" wide without the plastic handle and 2" with the plastic handle. Ratchet and sound still work great.  The lithograph is in good condition.

Nice addition to someone's vintage toy collection as well as a great noisemaker for a vintage New Year's Eve or birthday party!
