THE ROUTE 66 COOKBOOK by Marian Clark presents many of the best restaurant dishes from the 2,400-mile  historic highway.

The cookbook begins in Chicago, Illinois with Eli's Chicago's White Chocolate and Macadamia Cheesecake and the Palmer House's French Quarter Seafood Gumbo--with food stops in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Some recipes are from new restaurants along the highway but many are from old restaurants, now closed, and if not for this cookbook, possibly forgotten.

The 237-page softbound cookbook features over 250 recipes from the highway's best-loved restaurants. Hometown diners, hotel dining rooms, cafes, and upscale restaurants come to life through memorabilia, old menus and signs, anecdotes and stories from waitresses and cooks who made a living on the highway.

We ask that when making your purchasing decision that you consider the photos as part of the item's description.

We do our best to provide you within the written description as much information, whether it’s the history, manufacturer, or condition, for each item we sell.

We also recognize that a “picture is worth a thousand words” and ask that you view the photos we provide closely. Often, a photo can be more effective than a written description when determining if an item will meet your needs and satisfaction.
